Acts of Kindness is first and foremost a musical "welcome" to my niece, Anika, as well as a gift to her mom (and my sister), Claire.

Like many before me, I found appeal in writing a children's suite because it invites concise compositional choices. The music arches like a narrative, which could be summed up to a single day, a year, or a life time.

In the end the album's title conveys its spirit, and I am grateful for the opportunity to bring it to life.
